         Our hunting areas are excellent and produce great animals every year, but as many of you know, a guide can make or break a hunt!  Our guides are knowledgeable and experienced and though the hunting area may be the same we structure the hunt around the hunter.  All of our guides are bowhunters, even though the majority of the hunters we take are rifle, it is nice to know your guide has the know how to close the gap and provide a good shooting opportunity.

Artie hunted with me for multiple years and did very well and decided to pursue guiding.  He is now a Registered Hunting Guide and spends his summers guiding fisherman.  He spends his winters guiding snowmobile tours and pursuing his degree in Biology.

Many of you who have fished with me know Todd as he was my deckhand for the years of 2001 & 2002.  Todd now runs his own 33’ Halibut boat from May through August and does Taxidermy work in the off season.  Todd does a lot of our work, especially when we have large groups that require more than one boat.

Robert is a long time Alaskan Resident who spends his summers fishing the Kenai and Kasilof rivers in both a Drift and power boat.  Robert has over 20 years experience guiding and takes many of our groups out since our river boats only fish 4 people at a time.  Robert is also a licensed Assistant Guide and takes a client or two out from year to year.  He spends his off seasons hunting and working as a Cross Country Skiing Consultant.

 

     Many of you know, but for those of you who don't, we lost Robert in January of 2010 while him and I were on a sheep hunt.  He was like a brother to me and on that day I didn't lose a friend, I lost part of me.  To say he will be missed is a severe understatement.  We love you Robert and you are forever in my heart and soul. Thank you for all the incredible memories.

As with Todd many of you also recognize Matt as he was my deckhand in 2005 & 2006.  Matt also runs a 33’ Offshore Boat and takes many of our large groups in both Ninilchik and in Seward.  Matt is working on his Masters degree now while he’s not fishing.

Justin is our #1 Kenai and Kasilof River guide for salmon and spends some time guiding halibut as well.  Justin grew up fishing the rivers of Coastal Oregon and runs his own charter business there in the winter months.  He has been a fishing guide for many years and fishing the Kenai and Kasilof the last couple seasons.  On top of being a great fishing guide Justin is also an Assistant Hunting Guide and has hunted with me the past 3 seasons and is doing a great job and is a true asset to ATO.  Justin spends the off season bowhunting and fishing in the lower 48 with his wife Emmie.

Joe is an Assistant Hunting Guide and Alaska Resident who specializes in Brown & Black Bears as well as Mountain Goats which are one of his favorite animals to hunt.  He is a great bowhunter and knows what it takes to get hunters in close.  Joe guides hunts in the Spring and Fall and is a Ferrier in the off season and has worked with us for many seasons.

 

Yote Robertson

     Yote is originally from Montana and now lives in Dillingham, Alaska.  Some of you may know of his father, Dick Robertson, owner and proprietor of Robertson Stykbows. Yote has been with us for 2 years and has guided hunts for Brown and Black bears, Sheep and Moose.  He is a go getter and a Top Notch Archer and Archery Guide. 

 

Drew Scott

     Drew and I worked together both fishing and as hunting guides for another outfitter for years.  Now that I run my own business Drew guides hunts for me annually and is a great guide and has extensive knowledge of many of the camps as they are some the ones we hunted together with our previous outfitter.  He spends the summers at a Fishing/Bear Viewing Lodge and spends the off season backpacking around the world.  He is a Bear Killing Machine!!
